MUSIC THAT UNDERSTANDS INSOMNIA

Before I became a sleep coach, I believed my life would always revolve around sleep. There were parts of that experience and the journey back that I could never fully explain. So I started writing songs for anyone who has felt alone, overwhelmed by tomorrow, or unsure they'd ever feel like themselves again.

I wrote these songs for you.

One Ordinary Day | Sleep Came Home

This song is about something that changed my recovery: I stopped waiting to sleep better before I started living again. I began saying yes to ordinary days, even when the nights were still hard. The fear didn’t disappear first. I just stopped letting it decide how I lived. And somewhere along the way, while I was busy living, sleep came home. If you’re struggling right now, you don’t have to wait for sleep to get better before you begin coming back to your life. Start small. Choose one ordinary thing that matters to you, and let yourself live it—even after a hard night.

I Don't Have to Live Tomorrow Tonight

Insomnia has a way of making tomorrow feel like it’s already here. We lie awake imagining how we’ll feel, how we’ll function, and how we’ll possibly get through the day ahead. This song is a reminder that tomorrow isn’t here yet. You don’t have to live it tonight. And whatever tomorrow brings, you can meet it when it comes.

Your Body Still Knows How

You used to fall asleep without ever wondering how. Then somewhere along the way, something that once felt effortless became something you started watching, questioning, and trying to control. This is for the moment you begin to wonder if you’ve somehow lost that part of yourself—and the quiet possibility that beneath all the fear and effort, your body never forgot.

Nothing to Outrun

Why can insomnia make being awake at night feel like a threat when you know you’re actually safe? “Nothing to Outrun” explores the fight-or-flight response behind insomnia and sleep anxiety—an ancient survival system that can mistake wakefulness and the fear of not sleeping for danger. The song helps explain how sleep rules, rituals, avoidance, and trying desperately to prevent another bad night can unintentionally keep the brain’s alarm system on high alert. And it offers a different way of understanding what’s happening: as you experience wakefulness without treating it as an emergency, your brain can gradually learn what it couldn’t recognize before—there is nothing to outrun.

Sleep Isn't Your Job Tonight

You’ve spent enough nights feeling like sleep is something you have to get right. This is a reminder that you don’t have to carry that responsibility tonight. You don’t have to make sleep happen or prove anything by morning. You’re allowed to be exactly where you are, even awake, and let tonight be what it is.

I Don't Need to Know the Hour

There’s a particular kind of loneliness in seeing 3:08 AM glowing across a dark room and immediately wondering what it means for tomorrow. “I Don’t Need to Know the Hour” was written for that moment, and for the possibility that nothing has gone wrong because you’re awake.

More Songs for the Things We Carry

These songs are part of a growing collection about the thoughts we carry, the fears we live with, and the quiet ways we find our way back to ourselves.

About the music:
Every song begins with something real. I write the lyrics from my own experiences, emotions, observations, and the stories that stay with me. I use AI-assisted music tools as part of the production process, helping me bring those words and ideas into sound.

The technology is part of how the music is made. The stories, the words, and the heart behind them are mine.
